Jade Swaby Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork: Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you book a session with Jade Swaby ("I," "me," "my"), based in Putney, London. Please read them alongside my Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Bookings

Sessions are booked online through my booking system (Acuity Scheduling). By booking, you confirm the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Health information and consent

Massage and bodywork involve direct physical contact. Before your first session, you'll be asked to complete a health questionnaire and sign a consent form covering your health history, any conditions or contraindications, and your consent to treatment. This is separate from booking and needs to be completed before your appointment. Please tell me about any changes to your health, medication, pregnancy, or recent injuries or surgery before each session, as these may affect how I work with you or whether treatment is appropriate that day.

Massage and bodywork are complementary therapies, not medical treatment. They are not a substitute for advice or care from a doctor or other medical professional, and I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. If you have a diagnosed condition, please consult your GP or medical practitioner before booking.

Cancellations and rescheduling

[Confirm your actual policy before publishing, e.g. "Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations or no-shows with less notice than this may be charged in full / charged a cancellation fee of £__."]

Late arrival

[Confirm, e.g. "If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to keep the schedule fair to other clients, and the full session fee will still apply."]

Payment

[Confirm, e.g. "Payment is due at the time of booking / at the end of your session, via the payment methods available through Acuity."] Prices are as listed on the website at the time of booking and may change for future bookings.

During your session

You're welcome to ask questions before or during your session, and you can ask me to stop, pause, or adjust pressure or technique at any time. Please let me know immediately if anything feels uncomfortable or unwell during treatment.

Liability

I hold professional indemnity insurance and am a member of [confirm your professional body, e.g. CNHC / FHT / GCMT]. While I take all reasonable care in providing treatment, I cannot guarantee specific outcomes or results. To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any loss or injury arising from information you provide that is inaccurate or withheld, or from continuing treatment against your own better judgement.

Confidentiality

Anything you share with me about your health or personal circumstances is treated as confidential, in line with my Privacy Policy, and is only used to inform the treatment I provide.

If you're unhappy with any aspect of your treatment or experience, please contact me directly at jade@jadeswaby.co.uk so I can address it.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when they were last revised.
